On Wednesday February 22, the first day of lent, the seminary family held a day-long spiritual retreat focused on repentance.
The retreat began with the Sacrifice of Mass followed by several spiritual conferences in preparation for the time of fasting, presented by Father Nadim Giacaman. The first meeting focused on “what makes a person turn away from God and the Church?” In the second meeting, Father Nadim focused on the steps of repentance. He noted that by having a desire to return to God, by hating sin and regretting it, and he also pointed out the importance of Commitment to the teachings of the Church.
The spiritual retreat concluded with a panel discussion and dialogue. The day ended with a period of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a period of silence and finally a time for confession and spiritual guidance.

أقامت العائلة الإكليريكية يوم الأربعاء الموافق 22/02/2023، أول أيام الزمن الأربعيني، وقفة روحية تحت عنوان “التوبة”. وأبتدأت هذه الوقفة الروحية بقداس إلهي وعدة لقاءات روحية تحضيراً لزمن الصوم قدمها الأب نديم جقمان.
تمحور اللقاء الأول حول عدة أفكار: الأسباب التي تجعل الإنسان يبتعد عن الله والكنيسة. وفي اللقاء الثاني ركز الأب نديم على خطوات التوبة والرجوع إلى الله عن طريق كره الخطيئة والندم عليها، كما وأشار إلى أهمية الالتزام بأهمية تعاليم الكنيسة. واختتمت الوقفة الروحية بحلقة نقاش وحوار. وسجود للقربان الأقدس وفترة من الصمت ووقت للاعتراف والارشاد تحضيراً للدخول إلى زمن الصوم بقلبٍ طاهر ونقي.
